About Me
Hi friends! I’m Kebi. My journey as a DJ and music producer isn’t just about beats and melodies—it’s a story of resilience, transformation, and discovering the beauty of grace and purpose along the way.
Music has been with me from the start. As a kid, my mom made me take piano lessons. It wasn’t my choice at the time, but looking back, I’m so grateful she did. Those lessons became the foundation of my musical knowledge and eventually sparked the passion that drives me today. From there, I discovered drumming, dabbled in a short-lived trumpet phase, and even formed a basement punk band with my brothers. It wasn’t polished (or always on key), but it ignited something in me—a love for sound, rhythm, and connection.
When I was 15, my older brother Michael sent me a video of DJs spinning at a party in Montreal, and it completely blew my mind. The energy, the way the crowd came alive—it was magnetic. I had never seen anything like it before, and deep down, I knew I wanted to create that same feeling for others.
What started as school dances and birthday parties eventually turned into global stages, luxury events, and unique opportunities to share my sound. I’ve been blessed to DJ in Italy, India, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Cuba, and beyond, sharing stages with artists like Maroon 5, Ben Böhmer, Felix Cartal, Griz, Fatoumata Diawara, Paax Tulum, Desert Dwellers, and The Chainsmokers. Along the way, my work has been featured on respected labels like Tropical Disco Records, Cosmic Awakenings, and Sunday Café Records, and I’ve collaborated with brands such as Red Bull, W Hotels, Bumble, and Christian Louboutin.
Dancing in the Shadows
Although there were many opportunities and blessings along the journey, I often found myself searching for something deeper. The success I achieved on the outside couldn’t fill the void I felt within. The highs of achievement were often overshadowed by internal struggles, and the path was far from smooth. Like many in the industry, I faced challenges with substance abuse, addiction, and burnout. Yet even in the darkest moments, there was always a glimmer of light—something pulling me forward, reminding me that there was more to life than what I could see. That quiet, persistent faith carried me through and led me to ask the hard questions that would ultimately change everything.
A Turning Point
Looking back, I can see that even in my hardest moments God was always there, patiently waiting for me to listen. Life threw some heavy challenges my way, but those moments turned out to be my greatest opportunities for growth. They forced me to stop, reflect, and ask the hard questions: Who am I without the noise? Without the drugs? Without the partying? Without the Instagram? What do I truly want my life to say?
Choosing Simplicity and Purpose
In recent years, I’ve embraced a simpler and more intentional way of living. A pivotal moment in my life was getting sober from alcohol and hard drugs—a step that not only transformed the way I lived but also redefined who I was at my core. This clarity gave me the ability to rebuild my life with a focus on sustainability, faith, and genuine connection.
I also stepped away from social media, choosing to trust that the right opportunities will come as I focus on creating meaningful experiences through music. These decisions have allowed me to prioritize what truly matters: my faith, creativity, and the relationships that bring joy and purpose to my life.
Today, my music draws inspiration from cultures around the world, blending diverse sounds with a sense of joyful freedom. It’s no longer about fitting in or chasing validation—it’s about fostering meaningful connections and celebrating the beauty and color of life in its fullest expression.
A Mission Bigger Than Music
Music has taught me that it’s about so much more than sound. It’s about community, storytelling, and creating space for people to feel seen and inspired. I believe music is a gift from God—a universal language that connects us all in ways words sometimes can’t.
Through my record label, Sunday Café, I’ve made it my mission to create those spaces—places where music, creativity, and connection come together in a meaningful way.
For me, it’s about living intentionally, with gratitude for the grace I’ve been given. Every song I produce, every event I play, is a chance to create something lasting, something that lifts people up and points to the good in life.
Beyond the BEATS
When I’m not DJing, you’ll often find me savoring a great cup of coffee, snowboarding in the mountains, hiking scenic trails, or spending quality time with friends and family. Splitting my time between Aspen and Maui—two places that never fail to inspire me with their natural beauty—helps me stay grounded and connected to the creative spark that fuels my work. Alongside my partner, Kaylee, we continue to build a foundation rooted in faith, love, and purpose.
Through my music, my story, and the energy I share, my hope is to encourage others to embrace their own paths, live with simplicity and purpose, and savor the good times.
